Poinsettia Myths

12/12/2020

If you have children or pets NEVER place a poinsettia plant in your home! Fact or fiction. FICTION. While it is true that some Euphorbias are toxic, the Poinsettia is not one of them. Rumor has it that in 1919 a child was poisoned and the culprit was said to be a poinsettia plant. It was later proved to be Untrue, but unfortunately the rumor has endured. Consuming the leaves of the poinsettia plant will not harm or kill you, but it may upset your stomach. Besides, the taste alone ensures that any pet or child will steer clear from consuming more than just a nibble!

So, decorate away and add a layer of fresh blooms to your home decorating!
